Carly Foster: Director, Client Relations
Co-owner
Carly Foster is an award-winning, professionally-trained journalist. Nosy by nature, she loves to interview people and weave together stories. She blogs daily from the trenches of motherhood as the publisher of www.DurhamRegionKids.com and writes a mean press release.
Carly grew up in the hamlet of Zephyr, Ontario, fled for the big city and gratefully returned to Uxbridge, Ontario in 2007 to her small-town heart’s content. She penned Uxbridge 5-pin bowling and high school columns as a budding reporter before attending Ryerson University, where she graduated with a degree in journalism. She has worked at The Toronto Star, the Uxbridge Times-Journal and Oshawa-Whitby-Clarington This Week, numerous trade publications, and most recently as the managing editor of an HR/benefits magazine.
A vocal proponent of supporting all things local, Carly lives with her husband, two young girls and doting Jack Russell Terrier.
Kirsty Kernohan: Director, Creative

Kirsty Kernohan is an accomplished graphic and web designer. She created her first online and print magazine 13 years ago, and has been on the forefront of design and communication ever since.
Kirsty has a Mass Communications degree from Carleton University, and had a stint in the working world before realizing being one’s own boss is the way to go. She is passionate about the local economy, from shopping to eating and helping businesses grow. She is a whiz in Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and all loves all things geeky.
Kirsty shares her home with a husband, two young children and a bulldog.
Rebecca Cranney: Sales Manager
Rebecca Cranney is a recent honours graduate of the Business Administration and Business Sales and Marketing programs at Loyalist College. After three years in Belleville, Rebecca is happy to return to her hometown of Uxbridge, Ontario and start her career with Sweet World Media.
Dana Kenedy: Reporting and Editing
Dana Kenedy is a recently graduated journalist from Durham College. She’s been writing ever since she could hold a pencil in her hand, so journalism seemed like a natural course to take.
Dana lives in Uxbridge with her fiance, where the two of them drink copious amounts of tea and coffee.
Holly Myers: Graphic Design Intern
Holly Myers is a third year graphic design student attending Durham College. Looking forward to graduating with an advanced diploma, she is excited to start her internship with Sweet World Media.
Being a small town girl who likes to keep busy, Holly has a passion for art, photography, piano, and horses. She resides in Greenbank with her family and six pets.
